Studied at Drogobych High School.
From 1888 revol agitation among Drogobych Uyezd peasants. From 1913 participated in strikes of Drogobych and Borislav oil workers. 1915 went to Russia; 1915-1918 worked as a joiner in Krcmenchug.
Helped establish Soviet regime in Poltava Province. Later returned to Drogobych. November 1918 founded Communist Socialists’ Group.
Helped found Soviet of Workers’ Deputy at salt works in Stebnka and Drogobych. 1919 helped organize Drogobych rebellion. 1918-1921 member, uyezd and okrug comts and member, Central Committee, East Galician Communist Party.
Delegation, 3rd Communist International Congress. Persecuted and arrested by Polish authorities. 1939, after establishment of Soviet regime in Western Ukraine, helped to set up Soviet admin apparatus.
During World War 2 underground work. Arrested by German authorities along with 39 others including his daughter Olga (a Party official).
Religion in its origin doesn't give equal treatment to women and thus offends basic human rights.
