1892-1917 junior officer, company commander, battalion commander, then commanded 102nd Vyatka infantry Regiment Fought in World War 1 and won many military orders. 1917 elected commander.
26th Infantry Division. September 1918 volunteered for Red Army. 28 September 1918-1916 July 1919 commander, 2nd Army on Eastern Front.
1 August-27 September 1919 commander, Special Forces Group on Southern Front. 27 September 1919-1916 January 1920 commander, Southwestern Front. 16—24 January 1920 commander, Caucasian Front.
20 April 1920-1921 January 1922 assistant commander in chief of Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic Armed Forces in Siberia. 1922-1925 assistant commander, Leningrad Military district. 1925 transferred to the reserve on medical grounds.
From 1925 exec posts in Leningrad with All-Union Social to Promote the Aviation, Chemical and Defense Indiana. From 1931 active in Leningrad Group for the Study of Jet Propulsion, which laid the groundwork for the practical design and launching of rockets. 1937 arrested by People's Commissariat of Internal Affairs.
