Career
After graduate remained at university and worked for Master of Forestry Tsytovich’s Chair of Otolaryngology. 1924 defended doctor’s thesis on “Simptom Kerniga pri zabolevaniyakh nosa, gorla i ushey” (Koernig’s Symptom in Diseases of the Ear, Nose and Throat). From 1925 head, Chair of Ear, Nose and Throat Diseases, Kazan University.
From 1926 also head, Chair of Ear, Nose and Throat Diseases, Institute of Postgraduate Medical Training. From 1940 head Chair of Otolaryngology, Centr Institute of Postgraduate Medical Training. From 1943 director, Moscow Ear, Nose and Throat Diseases Research Institute.
Head. Chair of Otolaryngology, Moscow Stomatological Institute. Devised methods of tracheobronchoscopy. Studied pathology of the mastoid process and the clinical aspects of latent and other atypical forms of mastoiditis.
Made a detailed study of mastoiditis of tusospirillum etiology. Foreign many years chief otolaryngologist of Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic Minister of Health. Board member, Moscow Sciences Social of Otolaryngologists.
Member, Learned Medical Council, Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic Minister of Health. Member, editorial board, journal “Vestnik otorinolaringologii”. Honorary member, All-Union, Kazan, Saratov and Permanent Sciences Social of Otolaryngologists.
Wrote over 80 research works.
