Vasiliy TUGARINOV, USSR Philosopher. Doctor of Philosophical Science since 1951; Professor; Head, Chair of Dialectical and History Materialism, and Dean, Philosophy Faculty, Leningrad University, since 1951. Member, Communist Party, since 1925.
TUGARINOV, Vasiliy was born in 1899.
1925 graduated Moscow University.
1918-1920 in Red Army. 1925-1951 instructor in hist, of Communist Party of the Soviet Union and hist, materialism, successively in Orekhovo-Zuevo, Kolomna, Ryazan and Kalinin. Simultaneously in exec, government and Party posts.
Specialist in dialectics, logic, epistemology and dialectical and hist, materialism. Currently directs group of Leningrad philosophers working on the topic “The Principles, Laws and Categories of Dialectical and Historical Materialism”.
All religions persuade people to rely on outside authority, thus preventing them to become self-reliant.
