Accompanied Khrushchev to United States of America. 1960 member, Lenin Prize Committee Science and Technology, USSR Council of Ministers. 1960 signed agreement between USSR and France on cooperation in use of atomic energy.
Supervised development of new electric furnaces for for smelting steel and ferro-alloys, and developed technology for high-grade ferroalloys. Main works deal with: development of new steels. Armor plate production technology.
Role of nitrogen and other gases in special steels and ferro-alloys.
