Vasily Alekseevich Stavitsky was born on January 7, 1948, in the Mamonovka village, Verkhnemamonsky district, Voronezh region, Russian Federation.
Vasily Alekseevich graduated from the Philological Faculty of Voronezh State Pedagogical University, the Editorial Department of Academy of Social Sciences under the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, and the Higher School of Committee for State Security of the USSR.
Vasily Alekseevich worked as a tractor driver, metalworker, and engineer. He was an employee of the editorial offices of regional newspapers of the Voronezh region (Pavlovsk, Kamenka village), editor-in-chief of the newspaper True Path (Petropavlovsk village), chairman of the Petropavlovsk District Executive Committee (since 1983). Since 1985, Vasily Alekseevich has been working in state security agencies. He had served in counterintelligence for many years. Until 2002, Vasily Alekseevichy was the head of the Public Relations Center of the Federal Security Service of Russia.
