Career
Shatalina was a former rhythmic gymnast and was trained under Irina Viner. She has competed in International tournaments and national competitions of the Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics.
Shatalina came to prominence in the 1990s when she became one of the official coaches of Russia"s Senior National team for individual rhythmic gymnastics. She has trained Olympic champions, World Champions and World Cup champions.
Shatalina coaches in the Olympic reserve school in the Training center for rhythmic gymnastics in Moscow.
Her current students include: Diana Borisova, Arina Averina, Dina Averina. Olga Belova - World Team gold medalist.
Dina Averina - 2015 Russian National all-around silver medalist. Arina Averina - 2015 Russian National all-around bronze medalist.
