Career
Bivin enlisted in the United States Navy in 1940. Bivin was killed in action on board Salt Lake City (California-25) on 12 October 1942 during the Battle of Cape Esperance, Seaman First Class. The United States Ship Bivin (Delaware-536) was launched 7 December 1943 by Boston Navy Yard.
