Veronica Strong-Boag, Doctor of Philosophy, FRSC is a Canadian historian specializing in the modern history of women and children in Canada.
Education
Having obtained her Bachelor in history from the University of Toronto in 1970, she went on to receive an Master of Arts from Carleton University in 1971, and a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Toronto in 1975. Her Doctor of Philosophy thesis, completed under the supervision of Michael Bliss, was subsequently published as The Parliament of Women.
Career
She is currently Professor of Women"s History at the University of British Columbia. In 1993-1994 she served as president of the Canadian Historical Association. She was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada in 2001.
