Del Bosque started his career in Zaragoza. When he was 18 he joined Real Madrid and in six years he started to play for the first team. Since 1970 he went on his senior career with Real Madrid though was loaned by Castellon and Cordoba for three years. He has 239 caps and 39 goals for Real Madrid. Along with Real Madrid he won five league titles and four Copa Del Rey titles.
In 1987 he started his managerial career with Real Madrid. He was the team’s first head coach who led them to two La Liga championships, Spanish Supercup, two UEFA Champions League, UEFA Supercup and Intercontinental Cup in three years and a half.
After such a success Del Bosque moved to Turkey and in 2006 he was offered a position of the head coach in the Mexico national football team but he refused.
After Euro 2008 Del Bosque was appointed as the main tactician in the Spanish national football team and in September the team made its successful debut under the guidance of their new coach in the match with Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Spain won the 2010 World Cup and 2012 Union of European Football Associations European Championship victory under Del Bosque guidance.
