Victor Marrero was born on September 1, 1941; the son of Ezequiel Marrero and Josefina (Sanabria) Santos Marrero.

Education

Victor Marrero received a Bachelor of Arts from New York University and Bachelor of Laws from Yale University. He was admitted to the bar in 1982.

Career

In 1973 Victor Marrerowas appointed as an executive director at New York City Department City Planning. From 1974 to 1975 he was a special counsel to comptroller City of New York. For a year he served as a first assistant counsel to the governor of the State of New York. In 1976 Victor held the position of chairman at the New York City Planning Commission. From 1977 to 1979 Marrerowas worked as a Commissioner at New York State Division Housing and Community Renewal, New York City. In 1982 he was appointed as a partner at Tufo & Zuccotti, New York City, where he worked till 1985. From 1993 to 1977 Marrerowas was an ambassador at the United States representative on United Nations Economics and Social Council.
