Career

He was selected in the second round (42nd overall) of the 2011 National Hockey League Entry Draft by the Hurricanes and previously played with the Calgary Hitmen of the WHL after beginning his playing career with Leksands IF of the then Swedish HockeyAllsvenskan. On 20 October 2011 Rask was signed to a three-year entry-level contract with the Carolina Hurricanes.
