Dyring"s parents are science journalists and her sister is physicist. But Dyring chose to study theatre at university. She has also studied natural science.

As host she is well known as former host of the knowledge television program Hjärnkontoret. Since 2010 she hosts Vetenskapens värld. She has also hosted/appeared at Vi i femman (2001-2003, together with Jonas Hallberg), National Day celebrations, Nobel Prize programmes and Lilla Melodifestivalen (in 2003).
