Background
Hauratovich Viktor Kondratovich was born in collective farmer’s family. His mother, Zinaida Gerasimauna, died in 1986, his father, Kandrat Iosifavich, is pensioner.

In 1951 he completed seven-year school and entered the Mogilev building technical college and graduated from it only in 1957 because he was under arms from 1954-1956. In 1966-1969 he studied at Philology department of Mogilev teachers' training institute by correspondence.
He worked as a master of construction and erection organization in Samarqand (1957-1958), then he worked on different positions: as a foreman of Collective farm “Pershamaisky”, Drybinsky district1(958-1960), as a senior engineer of construction administration (Slawharad, 1962-1963), as a foreman of Collective farm “Vydransky”, Krasnapolski district (1963-1964), as a teacher at Mihinitskaya eight-year school of Krasnapolski district (1963-69), as a foremen of Collective farm “Zhalezinsky” Slawharad district (1969), as a head technician of Belarussian State project (Mogilev, 1969-1970), as a head foremen of collective farm «Zavadotski», Krasnapolski district. Since 1979 Hauratovich became the leader of literary society «Natkhnenne» («Inspiration»).
The first his poem is «Vyshynya» he printed in 1961 in the local newspaper «Lenin’s way» (Kastjukovichy). From 1979 his poems were regularly published. Hauratovich Viktor is an author of “Sun on the trowel” (“Sontsa na kelme”), “Colors and sounds of the Earth”(“Zyamniya kolery i zvuki”). His poetry is closely related to his life and profession. The main character of his poems is a builder, who loves his country, life and tries to make them better. In 1980 he became Lenin laureate of Komsomol in Mogilev.
