Belokon’, Viktor was born in 1939.


Improved the productivity of his farm near Odessa by unorthodox methods under Brezhnev. Arrested and imprisoned for his initiative. In January 1988, an investigative TV film was made about his methods, his treatment of his work force, and what had happened to him.

The party bosses in Odessa were shown to be responsible. They, in turn, banned the film, to show their opposition to Gorbachev. Still in prison in May 1988, Belokon’ has become the focus of attention of Moscow legal journalists.


Religion is a tool used by the ruling classes for the masses to relieve their suffering via the act of experiencing religious emotions.


Communist party could initiate policies in the name of the society because it knows what the best is for its progress and development.
