From 1937 worked for Military Procurator's office. Then for seven years exec posts with Central Committee, Communist Party of the Soviet Union. 1954-1957 (as colonel) deputy chairman, from 1957 chairman, Military Collegium, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Supreme Court.
Assisted in trial of Abakumov and other officials of Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Ministry of Internal Allairs and Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Ministry of State Security. 1960 headed case against United States Air Force U-2 pilot Powers.
