Viktor GOLOVCHINER, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Stage director and playwright. People's Artiste of Belorussian Soviet Socialist Republic from 1944; People's Artiste of Lith Soviet Socialist Republic from 1959. State Prize of Lith Soviet Socialist Republic (1960). Communist Party member from 1944.
Education
1921 enrolled at, 1926 graduate Belorussian Opera and Ballet Studio, Moscow.
Career
1926 stage debut at State Jewish Theater, Minsk. Until 1928 actor, then stage director Until 1949 performed in Belorussian.
1926-1930, 1932-1938 and 1942-1946 at State Jewish Theater, Minsk. 1939-1942 at Kupala Theater and at a workers’ theater. Also performed at State Russian Theater of Belorussian Soviet Socialist Republic.
1949-1951 chief stage director, Irkutsk Theater. 1951-1953 at Mukimi Theater, Tashkent. 1953-1954 at Gorky Russian Drama Theater, Tashkent.
From 1955 chief stage director, Russian Theater in Vilnius. From 1938 simultaneously taught at Belorussian Theater School, Tashkent Theater Institute and Vilnius Conservatory.
