Viktor Lyapkalo was born on September 18, 1956 in Uchta, Russian Federation.
Viktor Lyapkalo graduated in 1978 from the Art School of Saratov. From 1979 to 1987 he studied at the Saint Petersburg Academy of Arts and had as teachers Vladimir Gorb and Viktor Reichet. He graduated from this institute, completing the work "White Night" as part of his undergraduate studies. At that time he specialized in landscapes and nudes.
Since 1987 Viktor Lyapkalo has participated in Art Exhibitions. He paints portraits, naked models, genre scenes, cityscapes. Among his created paintings are "Olga", "After Bathing" and "Kate Wear a Hat".
His personal exhibitions were in Marburg in 1992 and 1993, Munich in 1994, and Saint Petersburg in 1996, 1997, 1999, 2002, 2004, and 2010.
Viktor Lyapkalo has lived and worked in Saint Petersburg, Russia since the 1980s.
Viktor Lyapkalo has been a member of the Union of Artists of Saint Petersburg since 1990.
