Graduated from the Petersburg Theatre School, 1912. Pupil of M. K. Obukhov.
Joined the Mariinskii Theatre. Leading classical dancer. Taught at the Petersburg Theatre School.
Later, coach with the ballet company of the Bolshoi Theatre, and teacher at the Moscow Choreographic School until 1936. Teacher with the A. V. Aleksandrov Song and Dance Ensemble of the Soviet Army, 1939-1944.
