Viktor Kovalyov is a Russian fiction writer, member of "Klyub Fantastov Kryma", candidate of technical sciences. He is a specialist in the field of the development of mineral deposits. He traveled a lot within and outside the country, made amateur films.
Background
Viktor Kovalyov was born on September 29, 1929 in Voronezh, Russian Federation. He spent his childhood and adolescence in the town of Rossosh, Voronezh Region, where he survived the Nazi occupation. Later, his family moved to the city of Kamensk-Uralsky, Sverdlovsk region.
Career
After graduating from the institute, he has been an employee of Mining and Geological Research Institute (Sverdlovsk) for 10 years. In 1970 he moved to the city of Simferopol, where he worked at the Research Institute of Mineral Resources.
He became involved in literary activity in the 1950s in the Urals. He is the author of the book "Pursuit under the ground" (Simferopol, 2007); he was published in the Ural and Crimean periodicals.
