Viktor Mustafovich Chekirov was born in 1939 in Kalach, Voronezh, Russian Federation in a family of employees.
Viktor Mustafovich graduated from the philological faculty of Voronezh State University (1963).
In 1963 Viktor Mustafovich become a teacher at the boarding school. Some years later worked as executive secretary of the district newspaper and then at the editorial board of the newspaper Young Communard. In 1974 he worked as a correspondent of the Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper on the Central Chernozem Region and become deputy editor-in-chief and after editor-in-chief ( of the Central Black Earth Book Publishing House. Since 2001 Viktor Mustafovich had been working as a literary consultant of the Voronezh organization of the Union of Writers of Russia.
