Vince Irwin

Career

The following season he was moved to the forward pockets and kicked 10 goals in a game against Street Kilda at Windy Hill mid-season. He finished the year with 28 goals and played two further seasons, bagging 27 and 30 goals. Irwin was a four-time Victorian interstate representative.

Achievements

• One of Essendon"s many North Melbourne recruits, Irwin started his career as a defender and was in a back pocket when Essendon won the 1923 premiership.
