He is a playwright and director He has written The Colorado Catechism and directed Queens Boulevard and Steve Hayes" Hollywood Reunion. Cardinal is currently the Artistic Director of the Connecticut Repertory Theatre on the campus of the University of Connecticut at Storrs.
