Vincent Ferrini was an American poet. Moreover, he was a contributor to journals and periodicals.

Vincent's parents, John and Rita Ferrini, were Christian anarchists who emigrated from Raiano and Bella, Italy in the region of Abruzzi to work in the shoe factories of Lynn, Massachusetts, United States.
Ferrini was born on June 24, 1913 in Saugus, Massachusetts, United States. He was the son of Giovanni Ferrini, a shoemaker and Rena DeCarlo Ferrini.
Education
Vincent attended Lynn Classical High School in Lynn, Massachusetts, United States.
In 1941 Vincent started to work at General Electric plant in Lynn, Massachusetts, United States and held the post till 1950, when he became an owner of a frame shop in Gloucester, Massachusetts, United States. Ferrini was an owner of the shop until retirement. What is more, he worked in his youth at a shoe factory as a channel turner of soles. Moreover, Vincent worked under Works Progress Administration in adult education.
It is important to note, that he also acted at the Peabody Museum of Salem in Massachusetts, United States, working on ships’ logs. Beginning from 1952 till 1953 he held the post of an editor at Four Winds Literary Magazine. Also, in 1970 Vincent Ferrini worked under Comprehensive Employment and Training Act program, where he gave workshops and lectures at colleges and prisons and wrote radio plays.
Vincent created 31 volumes of poetry, four volumes of plays and an autobiography. In 1976 Massachusetts Council of the Arts presented him a grant. Also, in 1992 Vincent was awarded at Baltimore Film Festival for "Poem in Action" video. What is more, he became a Hometown USA Video Festival Winner in 1992.
Despite the fact, that in childhood Vincent was told that he came from the wrong social class to be a poet, he became a renowned person.
Connections
In January, 1941 Vincent married Margaret Duffy, a teacher. In 1960s their marriage ended. Later he got married with Mary Shore, an artist, but their marriage didn't last long: the couple divorced in 1960s. Vincent Ferrini had three children from the first marriage.
