Vinit Rai was picked up by Dempo after graduating from the Tata FA and will be involved for their U-19 setup as well as their senior squad during the 2014-2015 I-League
Vinit, aged 17, made his Indian U23 debut against Uzbekistan U23 on 27 March 2015 in a 2016 AFC U-23 qualifier in the Bangabandhu National Stadium in Bangladesh.
