A defenceman, he is currently playing with Sibir Novosibirsk of the Kontinental Hockey League (|KHL). He was born in Chelyabinsk. Menshikov made his Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) debut playing with Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg during the 2012-2013 KHL season.
