Studied at Department of Natural Sciences, Faculty of Physics and Mathematics, Petrograd University.
Career
1923 began writing; from travels, expeditions and hunting trips accumulated a profound knowledge of animal kingdom which he later used in his writings. Contributed to journals Vorobey (later Novyy Robinzon), V masterskoy prirody, Druzhnyye rebyata and Znaniye - sila. Also contributed to almanach Sovetskiye rebyata.
