Graduate Business and Craft College and art school in Riga. 1917 graduate ensigns school. 1923 graduate Advanced Military Academy Courses.
On active service during World War I as a captain. Joined the Bolshevik Party, 1917, and the Red Army, 1918. Took part in the Civil War as a divisional commander.
High commands in the Far East, 1931-1934. Military attache in Britain, 1934-1936. Recalled and liquidated by Stalin.
