Later he was recruited as an independent professional by the state-run Bulgarian National Television, and was entrusted with the live reporting from the parliamentary sessions. This same parliament produced the first non-communist constitution in Eastern Europe. Later Vladimiri Zachary was one of the first newscasters on the first private radio station in Bulgaria "Express Radio".
By the late 1990-s he shifted his interests to advertising and helped launch the local branches of the global advertising powerhouses Leo Burnett and Ogilvy & Mather.
