Trained in 4th Studio, Moscow Academy ArtsTheater.
Career
1922-1928 actor, 4th Studio and Moscow Academy Arts Theater (from 1927 Realistic Theater). From 1929 with Centr Theater of the Red Army (now Centr Theater of the Soviet Army). 1937 made stage director debut at this theater.
Roles: Reginald Hornby in Maugham’s ’’The Promised Land”. Baklushin in Ostrovskiy’s Ne bylo ni grosha, da vdrug altyn (From Rags to Riches). Valire in Moliires’s "Tartuffe”.
Baptista in Shakespeare's "The Taming of the Shrew”. Oberon in Shakespeare's ’’Midsummer Night’s Dream”. Tebano in Lope de Vega’s "The Dancing Master”.
