During studies worked for Khar’kov Russian Social-Democratic Workers’ Party organisation. 1898-1913 engaged in revol work for Russian Social-Democratic Workers’ Party in Khar'kov, Kiev, Moscow, Saratov and Transcaucasus. Frequently arrested and exiled: 1914-1917 senior veterinary surgeon, 1st Reserve Artillery Brigade, Serpukhov, where he agitated among workers and soldiers.
1918-1920 head, Veterinary Section, Moscow Health Department and director, Moscow' municipal slaughterhouses. 1921-1923 head, Centr Veterinary Board, Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic People's Commissariat of Agriculture 1924 w'orked at State Institute of Journalism, Moscow.
1923 helped to draw up first Veterinary Regulations. 1920 helped to found Veterinary Training Center. Moscow; also helped to set up such research establishments as the All-Union Institute of Experimental Veterinary Medical
Recruited old veterinary surgeons for work in Soviet establishments.
