Head, (inspector), school for the blind in Voronezh (1898-1910), then Khar’kov (1910-1913). 1913-1919 at Moscow College for the Blind. From 1918 worked for People's Commissariat of Education on educational and training of blind children.
1920-1923 head, Moscow Institute for the Blind. Then member, Methods Commission for Program and Methods Problems, People's Commissariat of Education. From 1922 head Chair of Blind Pedagogical, Institute for Training Teachers of Handicapped Children, then Lenin Teachers’ Training Institute.
1932-1939 edited works on educational of handicapped children for Teaching and Education Publ House. Specialized in Brailc lit and textbooks for the blind.
