Career
1898 exiled to Vyatka for political activities. 1902-1905 in Siberian exile. 1905 took active part in Revol as member, Russian Social-Democratic Workers’ Party (Mensheviks).
1909 sent to penza, where he worked as mang, statistics bureau. From outbreak of 1917 February Revol chairman, Food Commission, Petrograd Soviet of Workers and Soldiers’ Deputy. After 1917 October Revol continued to serve the Soviet regime but retained Menshevik allegiance.
1918 chairman, Northern Food Board. 1919-1920 worked for Main Fuel Committee and ’’Commission for Investigating the Effects of War and Intervention on the National Economy”. From 1921 contributed regular economics reviews to the journal Ekonomicheskaya zhizn ’.
1927 member, Soviet deleg, Geneva Conference. 1928 chairman, Economy Council and chairman, Internal Economy Section, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics State Planning Committee. Presidium member, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics State Planning Committee and collegium member, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Centr Statistical Board.
At beginning of period of reconstruction opposed industry and collectivization policies. 1929 removed from office. 1930 arrested with other economics.
