Graduated from the Mikhailovskaia Artillery Academy, Petersburg, 1892.

Career

Professor of the same academy from 1900. Went on a business trip abroad in 1927 and stayed in the West. Settled in the USA, 1930.

Researcher at Universal Oil Products Company and professor at the Northwestern University in Chicago. Worked mainly on catalytic reactions. Gained a worldwide reputation in this field.

Religion

Religion is bad because it obstructs scientific research.

Views

Marxism–Leninism as the only truth could not, by its very nature, become outdated.
