1908 began stage career in Moscow. Until 1917 with various operetta theaters in Moscow, Orenburg, Saint St. Petersburg, Smolensk and other Russian cities. Helped found Tashkent Opera and Ballet Theater.
1921 helped found Geo Theater of Musical Comedy. From 1921 soloist, Paliashvili Opera and Ballet Theater. Very successful in comic roles.
Acted in films; Roles: Gippert in Evert’s ’’Frinash”. Katan in Jones’ ’’Geisha”. Gennadiy in Valentinov’s Noch’ lyubvi (Night of Love).
