Vladimir Kolbasa was born in 1946.
Vladimir Kolbasa finished Orenburg and Sverdlovsk musical Colleges as a conductor of the orchestra of folk instrument, a conductor of the folk choir, a choirmaster.
At the end of the studing in musical College in 1964 Vladimir Kolbasa became a music director, a chief conductor and a chief conductor of the Ural State Russian folk choir of the Sverdlovsk State Philharmonic. He based an orchestra of folk instruments in Ural choir. During his work in Ural choir he composed many works for orchestra and for choir, and music for dancing and vocal choreographies.
After moving in 1976 to Murmansk Vladimir did not stopped creative collaboration with the choir. He had stayed a consultant until 1992. He wrote 98 works of different genres for Ural State Russian folk choir during 33 years of his creative activity. In Murmansk Vladimir led vocal and instrumental, song and dance ensemble "Russia" of Murmansk regional Palace of culture and remains its artistic director to date. Plethora of programs popular among the audience were created with the ensemble in 21 years working.
Vladimir Kolbasa is the Winner of I, II and III all-Union Festivals of national creativity, and also the winner of all-national festival of choral art. The ensemble and its artistic director has been repeatedly awarded by the Central Committee of the CPSU, the USSR Council of Ministers, the trade unions and the Central Committee of the Komsomol. In 1987, for achieving the highest results in all-Union socialist competition in honor of the 70th anniversary of the great October Socialist revolution, he was awarded the Honorary diploma of the CPSU Central Committee, USSR Council of Ministers, AUCCTU, and Komsomol Central Committee.
