KORYAK, Vladimir was born on January 14, 1889 in Slavyansk.
1909-1915 wrote about lit in Ukraine Social-Democratic press Active in illegal Ukraine Social-Democratic organizations. 1911-1914 maintained Ukraine Social-Democratic positions of that period in his critical and journalistic work.
1915 arrested and exiled for revol activities to Turgay Oblast, where he remained until 1917 February Revol. After 1917 October Revol wrote about various problems of Marxist-Leninist lit history'. 1919-1925 worked for Ukraine People's Commissariat of Education and Ukraine State Publ House.
From 1925 lectured on Ukraine lit at Khar'kov Institute of Education, Artyom Communist University, etc while continuing lit work. Active in organizing proletarian writers. Helped found Cart lit associate.
After dissolution of Gart helped found new proletarian lit society Founder and member, АН-Ukraine Union of Proletarian Writers. Participated in discussions on lit criticism.
Some of his works were berated by Soviet critics for "vulgar sociologism”. 1937 arrested by State Security organs.
