He Participated in the 22 th, 23 th, 24 th, 36 th and 39 th session of the General Assembly of the United Nations.
Headed the delegation of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic on 40-44 th session of the United Nations on 6 th, 8 th and 9 th Emergency Special Session, 3rd Special Session on Disarmament and the 14th Special Session of the United Nations General of the Namibian problem. In 1985, several presided over the meetings of the Security Council of the United Nations.
