Graduated from a Canadian university.
After the communist take-over in China, emigrated to Canada with his parents. Chemical engineer. Continued his education at Berkeley University in the USA. Sent to Moscow University on a cultural exchange programme, 1968-1969. Deported by the Committee for State Security and attacked in Izvestia.
Stripped of the archive he had collected there for publication. Later deported from Bulgaria, apparently for having distributed dissident material there. In Yugoslavia, arrested for the same offence, and held in prison for 10 days.
Lecturer at the Portsmouth Polytechnic. Collaborated with Posev and Grani.
