Consultant, various Institute and plants. 1946-1950 vice-president, from 1950 president, Mendeleyev All-Union Chemical Social. Devised general amino acid synthesis methods and did research on the properties and conversions of these compounds.
Developed a number of alkalization methods and a technique for introducing the diase group in phenols. Helped to expand the Soviet aniline dye, pharmaceutical and perfume industry.
