Director, Higher Women's Medical Courses, Yur’yev (now Tartu). From 1918 professor, Khar’kov Medical Institute. From 1923 also director, Ukraine Protozoal Institute.
Specialized in histology of nervous system, particularly ependyma and neuroglia in mammals. Wrote standand textbook on histology.
