1918 secretary, Serpukhov City Party Committee. September 1918—February 1919 chairman, Eastern Front Military Tribunal. Upon return from Eastern Front worked for Moscow Province Party Committee.
Then Bureau member and head, Agitation and Propaganda Department, Moscow Province Party Committee. Simultaneously member, Moscow Province Executive Committee and member, Moscow Province Military Revol Committee. From May 1920 member.
Bureau member and head, Agitation and Propaganda Department, Moscow City Party Committee. 1924 deputy head, Press Department, Central Committee, Russian Communist Party (Bolsheviks). 1924 appointed assistant director, Lenin Institute.
1936-1939 deputy director, Institute of Marxism-Leninism. 1939 arrested by State Security organs.
