Together with M. A. Bonch-Bruyevich established principle of using different wave lengths for day and night work, which in 1927 led to successful operation of the first MoscowTashkent shortwave telegraph. 1925-1926 designed new directional shortwave antennas consisting of parallel half-wave bars. Studied antenna metering and feeding of shortwave antennas.
Developed method of calculating complex resistances for compound antennas with active and passive reflectors. Developed antennas for meter and decimeter bands. One of the first to use ultra high-frequency current in medical.
