TSESEVICH, Vladimir was born in 1907.
1926 graduated Leningrad University.
1933 helped organize Stalinabad Observatory. Made observations of variable stars and studied changes in the radiance of many of them. Compiled fundamental tables for determining the elements of eclipsed double stars.
Has written pop. science books on astronomy. 1933-1937 Director, Stalinabad Observatory. 1937-1942 at Astronomical Institute, now the Institute of Theoretical Astronomy, USSR Academy of Science.
Religion is always aggressive against any new scientific ideas.
Member, Communist Party, since 1943.
