1914-1917 illegal Party work in Russian Army. Participated in 1917 October Revol. 1917 member, Military Bureau, Moscow Party Committee.
Comissar, Military-Revol Committee for Petrograd Ammunition Depots. 1914 assistant secretary, then secretary, newspaper “Pravda”. Director, journal “Voprosy strakhovaniya”.
After 1917 October Revol held various exec posts. 1926 worked for Central Committee, All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks). Also film work; 1929-1931 member, editorial board, newspaper “Izvcstia”.
From 1931 member, editorial board, newspaper “Pravda”. 1918-1921 ed and member, editorial board, “Petrogradskaya pravda”. Company-publisher and cd, newspaper “Boyevaya pravda”.
Head. Press Department, Petrograd Soviet and 7th Army.
