1928-1934 simultaneously Secretary, Russia Association, of Proletarian Writers. Since 1960 member, Committee Lenin Prizes for Art and Literature. 1920-1921 Editor, Communist Youth League newspaper “Yunosheskaya pravda”, and Director, Press Department, Moscow Communist Youth League Committee.
1924-1925 Editor, newspaper “Na smenu”, organ of Ural Oblast Communist Youth League Committee, and Director, Press Dept, of this Committee. 1926-1928 Editor, journal “Molodaya gvardiya”, Moscow. 1928-1934 Deputy Chief Editor, journal “Na literaturnom postu”.
Since 1934 literature critic and in postwar years edited for some time “Literaturnaya gazeta”.
