1926 graduate Faculty of History and Philology, Prague University.
Lived in Vilnius, then emigrated to Czechoslovakia. 1926 took part in Academy Conference for the Reform of Belorussian Orthography, Minsk, after which he stayed in Belorussian Soviet Socialist Republic. 1927 joined “Maladnyak” proletarian writers’ associate, from which he was expelled in the following year.
From 1927 member, “Uzvyshsha” lit associate. Criticized for "bourgeois aesthticism” and support of Belorussian national and cultural heritage. 1930 arrested as “national democrat” but released during pretrial investigation when he contracted tuberculosis.
1931 exiled to Urzhum, now Kirov Oblast. Before death wrote a poetic “testament” on his love for Belorussian and hatred of her suppressors.
