In 1875 Vladimir Alexandrovich met with N.F. Fedorov, with whom he maintained friendly relations until the end of his life. Part of the proceeds from the sale of the book "The Philosophy of Feeling and Faith in its Relationship to Literature and Rationalism of the 18th Century and to Critical Philosophy" (Moscow, 1897) donated to the Voronezh Provincial Museum. In July 1897 and July 1899, he came to the city of Voronezh to meet with N.F. Fedorov and N.P. Peterson. The collection of materials collected by Kozhevnikov during his trip to Palestine served as the basis for the exhibition "Nativity of Jesus Christ and Appeasement" organized by Voronezh Provincial Museum (1898-1899).
Died in Khlebnikovo station near Moscow, was buried in the city of Moscow.
