Vladimir Mikhailovich graduated from the Faculty of History of Voronezh State University in 1976.
Vladimir Mikhailovich worked as a history and geography teacher at school in town Verkhoturye in Sverdlovsk Oblast from 1976 to 1978. Also, he held the position of the All-Union Leninist Young Communist League secretary in the administrative district of Verkhoturye. Then he worked as the head of the methodics department in the Directorate of Film Distribution and Cinema Administration in Voronezh Oblast. He became the director of "Luch" cinema in 1986 which turned into an informal cultural center in the city of Voronezh during the times of perestroika.
Vladimir Mikhailovich took part in creating and preservation of a collection of highly artistic films together with E.I. Goldberg in Voronezh. He obtained the post of "Proletariy" cinema director. Prominent figures of modern youth culture presented their films Vladimir Mikhailovich made gatherings with many craftsmen of Russian filmmaking such as Nikita Sergeyevich Mikhalkov, Natalya Vladimirovna Varley, Valeri Sergeevich Zolotukhin, Konstantin Yurievich Khabensky and others. He actively supported one of the oldest cinema clubs in Russia "The Friends of the Tenth Muse". He was a jury member at the Kinotavr Open Russian Film Festival in Sochi in 1996.
