The first years of activity (1867-1880) are connected with the provincial theaters in Orel, Saratov, Kazan, Astrakhan, Tambov and other cities. 1873 - 1877 years (a partnership under the leadership of Davydov) held in Voronezh. He played mainly operetta roles (Paris in "Beautiful Elena", Pikkilo in "Puppies singers", Jupiter in "Orpheus in Hell" and others).
